While there are several good kennels in our area, including the one at Aalatash Animal Hospital, we prefer to leave our pets in familiar surroundings when we are away for a few days. “I have always boarded my “zoo” (two Jack Russell Terriers and two cats) at Aalatash and never really had a problem. I also liked the idea that they were with animal health experts who knew my animals and their history should an emergency arise. However, I did not like not being able to pick them up on Sundays – and being a frequent traveler, this is when I would usually arrive home. Coming home to an empty house is no fun! I was thrilled when I discovered that Melissa had her own pet-sitting business! It really is the best of both worlds – you get an experienced, compassionate animal health provider AND you get to have your pets at home and ready to greet you at the door when you arrive back from being away. I found that with my cats especially, it was so much less stressful for them. One cat has since passed away, and the other has medical needs, and it is so comforting to know that Melissa is familiar with the medical history of all of my animals. Melissa will go above and beyond for your pets. Once, my cat was being treated at Aalatash and was kept there for the day. I was running late and feared I would not get to the vet clinic in time to pick him up. I asked Melissa if I could pay her a visit fee if she would take him home for me from the vet clinic – she agreed and I did not get a speeding ticket! I have since referred Melissa to my friends and they have been very pleased with her services as well.”
